Kristin and Shane got married in Fredericksburg, Virginia, on October 9, 2010. It was a gorgeous day, and I was fortunate to be asked to second shoot this wedding with Leo Druker.

Since their engagement shoot was my first blog post, I thought it was appropriate to follow it up with their wedding photos, taken as a second shooter for Leo Druker. Eric and Marcella were married at the very charming Vandiver Inn in Havre de Grace, Maryland, on September 4th, 2010.

The colors are so rich in this series. Good work on the processing. What did you do, just increased contrast or did you bump up saturation a bit too?
Thanks, Ryan!! I rarely mess with saturation (unless converting completely to bw) – I basically just add contrast, bump up the blacks, and maybe increase exposure/brightness a bit, and adjust white balance if needed. There were a few I think I messed with a bit more but that’s my basic editing technique for the majority of my photos.. simple is better.
Hello, and thank you for checking out my blog! This is my first post so please bear with me as I fine-tune this thing. I really fought the blogging thing for a while, but…I caved. I’m here. And, to celebrate my appearance in the photo blogging universe, here are a few photos from Eric and Marcella’s engagement session that I shot with Leo Druker last month. We all met out at the Barrel Oak Winery in Delaplane, Virginia, where I was surprised to be greeted not only with a pitcher of sangria (thank you, Leo) but a hill full of dogs! Fauquier SPCA was holding a Paws for Cause benefit that day, which was fun since we are all lovers of canines…one pup, in particular, stole Marcella’s heart, I think! The last few shots were from Sky Meadows state park just down the road from the winery.
